Living a healthy lifestyle on the road can be difficult, but it’s also difficult everywhere else as well. The common denominator in the challenge is a general lack of knowledge and being unaware of healthier options that are available to your workforce. Winning on the road isn’t about placing unrealistic expectations for truckers, it’s about meeting them where they are at, and helping them navigate their lifestyle with applicable and realistic strategies.
Eating and drinking out of convenience has long been an excuse for people who were short on time and options to eat and drink unhealthier options; however, that ship sailed years ago as healthier options became available nearly everywhere. Again, it’s typically a lack of knowledge and being unaware to the solutions around them. We’ve found that most truckers do want to get healthier, they just don’t know what to choose. We’ll help with that.
Whether at home or on the road, having a quick “cheat sheet” is always nice to have. Having a list of what to get leads to a much more successful trip to the grocery store than otherwise. If the trucker stays at a hotel or bunks it up in the cab, having healthy options available makes adherence to the healthy lifestyle much easier to adhere to.
This may sound super simple, but that’s also the power in it…..keeping it simple. Learning how to pack a healthy cooler full of healthy drink, meal, and snack options that keep you satisfied without giving you a ton of calories is a key strategy in staying energized and dropping excess body fat. Again, this may sounds so easy a caveman could do it, but having it taught and seeing it done leads to it actually being practiced in real life. This strategy is huge and can also save your truckers hundreds of dollars every month.
