WELL BUILT HUMANS – POTOSI

meet your well built coaches

Coach Matt Eastlick

Of all the “things” you get to have in life, the only thing you take wherever you go, is your body. You only get 1 body, and it is through this body that you live your life. Personally, I don’t want my body to ever be an excuse for not being able to physically do something. I want to be strong, fit, and conditioned to tackle any endeavor, from playing tag with my kids to climbing mountains with them someday. I want to bring along as many other people as I can in this journey to have physical freedom. That is why I will be one of your Well Built Coaches. In addition to my “why”, here’s a list of some of my credentials for being a Well Built Coach. Looking back on my life, it’s crazy to think how most of my life has been geared around physical fitness and competition:
  • Kid Training: rope climbing in my backyard, running the roads, biking to the Big “M” and running the stairs
  • MS/HS Sports: football, wrestling, basketball, baseball and track; not to mention weightlifting and conditioning to prepare for those sports
  • Collegiate Competition: UW-Platteville Football 3 year starter at linebacker, 1 year of wrestling at UW-Platteville; more weightlifting and conditioning
  • Successful HS football coach 8 years at 3 different schools
  • Successful HS and MS wrestling coach for 11 years at 3 different schools
  • Trained for and Competed in a Sprint Triathlon in 2016
  • Previous NASM Certified Personal Trainer from 2017-2019
  • Kettlebell Workout Enthusiast from the summer of 2019 to present
Looking forward to developing the discipline of fitness with you! Discipline equals Freedom – Jocko Willink

Coach Brent Curtis

So, a little bit about me and my background. One of my biggest goals is to be great in anything I decide to commit to. Whether that is in friendships, family life, job, or your fitness coach/friend I strive to be the best I can be for the people around me to bring them up and help them succeed (As Brandon LaRue calls it a “Greatness extractor”).   This world has so many great things to offer and I really want to empower people to see it in more ways than through a window or TV screen. I will shoot you straight no matter the situation, I believe that is the best way to live and approach people. When a wholehearted opinion/thought is given only to bring others up and help you succeed it will mean so much more to them.

My fitness background has played a huge part in my life. Began playing competitive sports around age 12 and all the way through high school, college, and to the present. I began a scheduled workout plan at age 14 from a very good high school program, a college football program, and now the Well Built Humans Program that we will be offering. 2 years of Health and Human Performance education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I have coached/Trained many people who have come to me asking for help/advice from high school athletes to adults with families and full time jobs.

Enough about me, here is what I hope for each and every one of you that decide to take on the Well Built Humans. I hope everyone becomes a better person in many aspects of their life. This would include better self-discipline, Work ethic, improved attitude/outlook on life and its situations thrown at you, and a new friend in me. There is so much more to be learned from fitness and a healthy lifestyle other than what can be portrayed at times and I cannot wait for you all to experience it.

Brandon LaRue

this is about way more than your fitness. you know it, and WE know it.

You will be cared for, you will work hard, and you will get your mindset challenged. I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear, I’m here to tell the truth in love and help you extract your inner greatness!

Our Philosophy

01

To be efficient

Working out shouldn’t be a 2 hour affair. It’s not that way for pro athletes, and it certainly doesn’t need to be that way for you. From warm-up to workout completion, we will be done in 30 minutes. You won’t wonder if you worked hard enough.

02

To Equip

Fitness, nutrition, supplementation, and stress management, how do you learn it all? Well, how do you eat an elephant? That’s right, one bite at a time. You will be equipped, if you’re willing to learn. If you’re not willing to learn, go elsewhere.

03

To challenge

Comfort zones need to be stretched and our thinking needs to be developed. If we don’t develop our minds, we will never become the person we desire to be and the one God created us to be.

04

To Compete

Competition is healthy. “I’m just not competitive” is a statement of complacency. You may not desire to compete against others like some do, but you should desire to compete against yourself; to do more and become more than your prior self, you must compete with that person in the mirror.

The coaches at Well Built Humans see the best and will bring out the best in you. They will lead and treat you with respect and no judgment of where you are or where you were in life. No matter the situation, they will always see the good in what will come from it. – Eric F

The coaches at Well Built Humans will challenge you to become the best you possible in fitness, faith, relationships, school, or at your job. A workout is more than swinging a bell because you will learn to swing for the fences in life when you spend time with them.
– Ray M.
