Coach Brent Curtis
So, a little bit about me and my background. One of my biggest goals is to be great in anything I decide to commit to. Whether that is in friendships, family life, job, or your fitness coach/friend I strive to be the best I can be for the people around me to bring them up and help them succeed (As Brandon LaRue calls it a “Greatness extractor”). This world has so many great things to offer and I really want to empower people to see it in more ways than through a window or TV screen. I will shoot you straight no matter the situation, I believe that is the best way to live and approach people. When a wholehearted opinion/thought is given only to bring others up and help you succeed it will mean so much more to them.
My fitness background has played a huge part in my life. Began playing competitive sports around age 12 and all the way through high school, college, and to the present. I began a scheduled workout plan at age 14 from a very good high school program, a college football program, and now the Well Built Humans Program that we will be offering. 2 years of Health and Human Performance education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I have coached/Trained many people who have come to me asking for help/advice from high school athletes to adults with families and full time jobs.
Enough about me, here is what I hope for each and every one of you that decide to take on the Well Built Humans. I hope everyone becomes a better person in many aspects of their life. This would include better self-discipline, Work ethic, improved attitude/outlook on life and its situations thrown at you, and a new friend in me. There is so much more to be learned from fitness and a healthy lifestyle other than what can be portrayed at times and I cannot wait for you all to experience it.
Meet the man behind the scenes: Coach Brandon LaRue
From the couch jockey to the professional athlete, i’ve been building bodies for 15 years
Your knee jerk reaction to joining this bootcamp will be, “I’m not cut out for this.” That’s a lie straight from the pits of hell. You are cut out for this and this is EXACTLY why you need to do it.
Personal trained thousands of humans from the overweight and unfit to the geriatric population. Hired and developed other fitness professionals.
Took on a strength and conditioning role for favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs. Worked and developed athletes in the Class A Advanced Florida State League.
Strength and conditioning coach for Bloomington Jefferson High School. Worked primarily with football, hockey, track, and volleyball athletes. Also began coaching wrestling at Lakeville North High School, where acted as strength and conditioning coach for the team.
Opened small group fitness gym famously referred to as “The Work Shed,” and worked with dozens of local adults and athletes.
Moved back to hometown to be closer to family, the beautiful area, give back, build bodies, and help mold a gritty, winning culture.
World class coaching + small town blue-collar-work-ethic is a recipe for success.
this is about way more than your fitness. you know it, and WE know it.
You will be cared for, you will work hard, and you will get your mindset challenged. I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear, I’m here to tell the truth in love and help you extract your inner greatness!
To be efficient
Working out shouldn’t be a 2 hour affair. It’s not that way for pro athletes, and it certainly doesn’t need to be that way for you. From warm-up to workout completion, we will be done in 30 minutes. You won’t wonder if you worked hard enough.
Fitness, nutrition, supplementation, and stress management, how do you learn it all? Well, how do you eat an elephant? That’s right, one bite at a time. You will be equipped, if you’re willing to learn. If you’re not willing to learn, go elsewhere.
Comfort zones need to be stretched and our thinking needs to be developed. If we don’t develop our minds, we will never become the person we desire to be and the one God created us to be.
Competition is healthy. “I’m just not competitive” is a statement of complacency. You may not desire to compete against others like some do, but you should desire to compete against yourself; to do more and become more than your prior self, you must compete with that person in the mirror.
